If I was overcharged for DROS ($35) , how and where do I report the FFL?

How much were you overcharged? Why did you not point this out to the shop before paying?

Was this a PPT or a sale from the dealer?

Correct me if I am wrong, but state law is max $30 right? I was charged $35. I dont care about the $5 , its the principle. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to cause an argument, my temper is short enough as it is, no need to get into a shouting match which would likely get me no where. That being said, I don't want anyone else to get overcharged in the future.

              Its $35

How much is the Dealer's Record of Sale (DROS) fee?

The State's DROS fee is $19.00 which covers the costs of the background checks and transfer registry. There is also a required $1.00 Firearms Safety Testing fee and a $5.00 Safety and Enforcement fee. If the transaction being processed is a dealer sale, consignment return, or return from pawn, the dealer may impose other charges as long as this amount is clearly shown as a "dealer fee" and not misrepresented as a state fee. In the event of a private party transfer, the firearms dealer may additionally charge a fee of $10 per firearm transferred.

When settling on the purchase price of a firearm and before completing the transaction, you may want to ask the dealer to disclose and identify any and all fees he/she is charging to complete the transaction.

IIRC they lump it in with the DROS. I'd have to go look but I believe they charged me $30 last time I bought a gun there.

they can't lump it in, that $5 is on top of the $25 DROS fee. since it has to be labeled a dealer fee.

which imo, is just nickle/dime tactic on the customer who just bought a gun from their store.

So it should have been $25, right?
