I want to add a SA wheel gun to the collection. I saw a nice .357 Ruger at the LGS. I want one, I think. Those of you that have one what is your experience with them?

I have 2 Ruger vaqueros in 45 long colt, and a couple others on 357. I love my SA revolvers. I have put literally tens of thousands of rounds through all of them and have never had a single failure. To me nothing beats a nice revolver. -
I own 3 Ruger single action revolvers, a Single Six Convertible, a Bisley 45, and a Super Redhawk 44 magnum. I Love them. They are top quality guns and works of art. And IMO they are the most comfortable handguns to shoot, particularly single-handed.Comment

My first handgun was a New Model Blackhawk .357 in 1976. I still have it and it still shoots great. One of these days I'd like to get a Bisley Vaquero.sigpicComment

I have several SA Ruger Blackhawks, one of them in. 357 Magnum. I like this combination as I have no time to reload at the moment and appreciate the ability to practice with cheaper price and lower recoil .38 Special.
For really cheap practice on a similar platform, I have a Single Ten in .22 LR.
I don't think that you can beat the price/quality offering of a Ruger Blackhawk.Comment

Get it. IMO ruger is making the best revolvers on the market right now.sigpicOriginally posted by Dr. ElkyIf your a man who wears white sunglasses, your probably a douche bagOriginally posted by CSACANNONEERI've been know to cross dress and go the other way at certain events.Comment

Great choice - I have several Ruger Vaqueros & Blackhawks in various calibers and love the guns. I think the .357 is probably the best choice due to the availability and cost of ammo as well as it being comfortable to shoot all day (.38 special). I personally like the Vaquero over the Blackhawk because to me, it feels more comfortable and has better lines.NRA Life MemberComment

I have a Ruger Blackhawk in .44 Special with 5.5in barrel in stainless. I don't care for it. It is built like a Russian tank.
After playing a lot with the Uberti/Cimmaron and the new offerings from Colt, I picked up a US Firearms and never looked back. I bought one of their 2011 Shot Show guns from a local Calgunner and am now on my third. I've got pictures posted up here. You will not find a nicer single action aside from the Hamilton Bowen guns. For Sale: Off Roster Handgun Moving Sale

Rugers have a major problem! They don't sell them for enough $$$$$........lol. One of the finest revolvers made..........I own several and have never had a single issue with any of them. Buy it and have fun for years!"When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty"Comment

I have a Beretta (rebranded Uberti) in 45LC. I really, really like this gun.
Nothing against Rugers - I've had great luck with them (as a company).
I used to have a 1959 Single Six (22WMR) that I bought a cylinder for 22LR. I really had fun with that gun....
But - .45 LC - might be expensive, but a fun round. Low pressure, nothing to compare to .357 wrt pressure (check a SAAMI chart). But fun - none the less.
