    So which is it?
Also, why would you take your money elsewhere when they took your pellet gun back after a year?

People acting like this is also what's destroying this country

Man, the defect was a bent barrel. By no means did it hit anything accurately... The distance I would use it at would be about 20 feet, and it had no sights at all on it. I was simply playing with it. If I had taken it back THE day I bought it, it was still defective, and would have had the same fate, and I would have gotten my money back. It worked great in a sense that it fired, but it was still defective, hands down.
Believe me.... When I watch people return a stroller with barf all over it and covered in dirt, and get full refund, that makes me cringe. These people are using the system in order to get use out of something for nothing, and this was their intention from the start. I bought this rifle to kill pests with, and it would t hit anything past about 30 yards because the scope could not match the angle of the barrel. I then reverted to using it for fun at around 20 feet or so, no scope. Recently it started to act up function wise, so I did what I shod have done the day I opened the box, and returned it. The gun LOOKS brand new, and I packaged it nicely with everything it came with including the Manual.

I went to dinner last night. It wasn't good, but I ate it anyway (you know, dinner, drinks, etc... - I didn't want to make issue of it at the time).

I'm thinking tomorrow when I take a dump I'll put it in a box and go get my money back.

What do you think? It's not like I'd be stealing or anything, I mean I'm just planning on returning the bad dinner even if it was used......

You should put it in the box and keep it for a year first.

I had a thread about this exact topic in OT. I posteda couple morality threads, on that it is immoral to buy a TV from Costco KNOWING you were just going to use it for Super Bowl, because you knew they would take it back.

You would not believe the mental gymnastics people go through to try to justify stealing, "THey know people do this, they should change the policy if they don't like it."

THen it degenerated into guys claiming I was trying to show how holier than thou I am.

and this is why stores are doing the restocking fee on returned items. at least they still make some profit from these use and return losers.

Do camera store take back their products for a cash refund? I am planning on spending what I consider an obscene amount for a camera setup for a safari. Would be great if I could just do a short term lease at no cost.

Just kidding. I am one of the "If it is worth doing, it is worth buying the tools" crowd. I might not use it very often, but it will be there if I want to.

It's absolutely theft. You don't "library" from a place that is not in the business of renting or loaning.

Take a book from Barnes and Noble, read it, and then return it.

                          Same deal.

i should have returned it the day after i bought it, but knew it would be destroyed anyways. It was never my intent to buy this, use it then return it. i bought it for killing pests, and it couldn't do that due to the defect. As a matter of fact, i think this is the only item I have returned anywhere, besides maybe a few times where things where missing parts and such. Despite the amount of pellets through the rifle, it was actually rarely used. it was in its box under a bed for 90% of the year, and when i found my receipt, and remembered it was defective the day I bought it, i returned expecting store credit to buy another pellet rifle. The worker handed me cash, and they no longer carry this model rifle, so I walked out. Again, it was not my intent to buy this and then return it after my pests where killed (which they are not), i wanted a pellet gun that worked nicely, and this one did not. Excuse me for getting a little use out of item that is going to be destroyed anyways.

Yeah, great return policy. They know darn well what it costs to win a new customer, and they are not willing to lose a customer over the cost of a pellet gun. That sounds to me like a smart business.

BTW, I curse myself every time I go in that place, but for Ammo, it is hard to beat their prices, so I keep going back.
