Pellet gun for 1 year...... RETURN

I know walmart is destroying this country, but you can't beat their return policy. I bought a .22 pellet gun from them a year ago, worked great all year. After 1500 pellets, it started acting up, so I took it back in the box, and got a full cash refund. Now I shall take my business elsewhere.

    I know... Cool story bro...

You guys ever return stuff months or years after you bought it?

So after getting the usual 2 years out of our Black & Decker coffee maker I ran into WalMart for a new one. I don't usually grab the front box of any display but I was in a hurry.

Got it home, opened the box... WTF!

Somebody had sealed up their old used coffee maker & undoubtedly returned it for cash. A close inspection revealed a second layer of packing tape where they taped it back up.

So *I* get to go back with the old used coffee maker...

No questions asked. Swapped it for a new one.

Yup, to be honest, i usually never return things. In this case it was also defective since the day I got it, but it was not that big of a deal to me, so I kept using it. (barrel was slightly bent) On top of that, I had saved the box and the receipt, and thought I would exchange for a new one. The no longer carry that model so I took the cash.

If you are a vendor for Walmart, you agree to eat it if the product comes back. So yea, you screwed the manufacturer, who is in turn going to cut every corner possible to be able to meet Walmarts price point, suck up the returns, and make a profit. All this does is give the contract to the company who can make the cheapest piece of **** possible and still stay in business. I have joined the crowd that refuses to shop at Walmart.

              Both wrong.

The product was either defective or poorly made, since when is it a customer screwing anyone over by returning a crappy product?

i can imagine folks used to buy paint sprayers chop saws tools ect, use them and return them saying they didnt work (while being covered in paint, saw dust ect) its all part of the "we deserve this" mentality without having to actually pay for anything they use .....

wonder if any of these folks are selling a car , i could use one for a year and will be happy to return it to you after the year is done for my full refund .....

I have asimilar story. Went in bought a battery for my motorcycle opened the box and found a brick. A red cinderblock brick. That was a fun return.

I had no intent of screwing anybody, including myself. I am more than aware that Walmart is going to destroy the product. As a matter of fact, the gun came with a scope and rings, and the worker didn't even look. I could have held out all that stuff, or the gun could have looked hammered, but I didn't, and the gun looked flawless. It was defective since day one, but I just used it anyways. I shot the first 500 pellets the first day, and then shot on about 4 other occasions. I actually rarely used it, despite the amount of pellets down the bore. I will install the $150 I got back into a local small business, and get a better product as well as help out a deserving shop. Thanks guys for your opinions and input on this non-important issue that I have created. hah
