It may also be that the owner has felonies or the guns are stolen. If this is the case then I applaud the officers. If they are stolen then hopefully the rightful owner will get his gun/guns backPrevious iTrader rating, over 150 Positive ratingsComment

Looks like a Smith and Wesson to me, but definitely not an M&P. Nothing in that picture looks like it was bought new in the last 20 years...
The revolver on the far left looks like a turn of the century H&R top break, likely pre-1899.Last edited by Dr Rockso; 07-07-2012, 9:12 AM.Comment

And "they" hope that they get to melt them all. Just look at how well they care for the firearms in that stack. If they were not beat to hell before the leo's got their hands on them, well you can bet your last dollar that they're now trashed once they did get their hands on them. If even one of those turn out to be illegally obtain they will melt them all. Even if the individual turns out to be innocent and he ends up going through the process to have them returned to him, the leo's will not in any way be held responsible for the damage to his private property.Comment

It's most likely a 3rd gen S&W autoloader. I think it's probably a 5904 with the square trigger guard.
3rd gen S&W trade in's can be found at bargain prices in the free states. First semi-auto handgun I wanted was a 5906, but it's hard to come by here in this commie state.WTB:

Bay Pt. Man Busted for Possessing 49 Weapons
This should be interesting. I wonder what the "illegal weapons" really are and how many are in fact "illegal"?
$50,000 bail seems a bit low for 49 "illegal weapons".

Just looked it up. Bail for Assault With a Deadly Weapon / Firearm is $50,000 so apparently, he wasn't booked on the "illegal weapons" even though they are the main subject of the article.Last edited by TRICKSTER; 07-07-2012, 4:54 PM.

What "they" want to melt them down. CC Sheriff had a policy of auctioning of siezed firearms at the end of each year. Sheriff Rainey took so much heat from the anti gun asswipes that he had to start destroying them. You can thank the anti gunners and newspapers for that. And "they" hope that they get to melt them all. Just look at how well they care for the firearms in that stack. So you're saying that Sheriff Rainey is actually a career azzwipe politician caving into anti's and papers? I think that Rainey is the one to be thanked. Down here in southern mexico, they take great pride in melting down firearms. What "they" want to melt them down. CC Sheriff had a policy of auctioning of siezed firearms at the end of each year. Rainey was two Sheriffs ago (1979-1992) - succeeded by Rupf and now Livingston.ARCHIVED Calguns Foundation Wiki here: http://web.archive.org/web/201908310...itle=Main_Page
