    Purchasing a Rifle

I have purchased a rifle, and currently waiting for the 10 day period to end so I can pick up the rifle. The question that I have, would all the paperwork have to be redone, if I wanted to change the caliber and model of the rifle?

You'll get two guns that way,but you will also pay another check fee. Had you bought both at the same time, you could have run multiple guns on the same check fee and saved ~ $30.

You can add additional long guns to a long gun DROS.

If your CA FFL dealer will allow it.

Some CA FFL dealers don't allow this and some do.

After the DROS has been completed and the waiting period started on the first? Would adding to the DROS restart the waiting period for both?

The DROS is not complete until the gun(s) are picked up, or 30 days have expired from the start of the DROS. Adding long guns to a long gun DROS will not restart the 10 day wait.

I do agree with Quiet, that not all FFLs will do this, but it is legal.

Do you have to state the number of long guns you are purchasing at the time of purchase? I ask because Rifle Gear requires you to say how many guns you are going to put down on the DROS and if you only buy one then no harm. I said to add only one extra or else I would have walked out of there with more than one extra lower.
