I've taken my oldest girl shooting several times already. I just wish that I've taken her when she was younger. But my youngest will be shooting soon. Actually start her out with a BB gun to teach her the basics then my 10/22 later on.

Very nice! Always good times, when they want to hang out with dad. My 12 year old daughter has been going with me to shoot for the last month. I am glad she wants to hang out with me and she loves to shoot.

My daughter (18) has been to the range with me several times. My son - a 20 year old video gamer - who thinks he knows guns, will NOT go.

My daughter has class - a good eye - I rented a S&W 617, and she said 'that's a pretty gun - can we get one?'..... She didn't want to shoot my 686 even tho they are basically the same size gun, same price..

I was REALLY trying to get her to like the Ruger Mark II/III (whatever I rented)...

So yeah, this thread made my day...

Great job on the father/daughter time. The only thing that compares is granddaughter time. I took my six year old granddaughter out for the first time recently. It was great.

Yeah, the girly girl scene, lemme guess... high school or early college? But once they realize that liking "guy" things get's them to be more cool and liked by guys since they can be "one of the guys"... she will ask dad to hangout more often.

I hope your son isn't a skinny, awkward nerd that sits in the house all day and games. If he does, throw him outside and man him up at the gym! Gotta get the testo pumping through him. Now your daughter, can easily be one of the guys. When she is 21, hand her a beer and ask her to sit around the bonfire talking about manly things!
