So I just got this e-mail from Turders regarding the sale price on the XD...

The SpringField Armory XD in the Corona Ad dated January 18 - January 19 is listed at a sale price of $399.98.
This is incorrect.

The correct sale price is $469.98.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

How you like them apples? Gee, false advertising anyone? I wonder if we can hold them to their advertised price.

Businesses can post corrections of erroneous ad prices; it's not automatically false advertising.

Still, it's going to upset a lot of people who thought they'd be able to buy a $400 XD45. The quantity was already limited; Turners would have been better off eating this one. It's such a boneheaded customer relations move, that I wonder if the real reason for "correcting" the listed price might be that it ran afoul of a Springfield Minimum Advertised Price policy.

High Point for 109.98, WOW! While not a great gun, it's the perfect who cares if the cops take it home defence gun. If you have to use it to protect your life, who cares if you even get it back.

You could buy a pile of those and take them to a buyback program, like the Oakland one, where they're offering $250 for handguns. Buy 4 for $600 out the door, turn them in for $1000, and spend the money on something useful!

Would anyone here complain about turning in High Points for destruction?

They are giving a 70$ gift card with the purchase of the XD. They told me that Springfield would stop selling them guns if they sold them for that price.
