Tell us then.Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Of course it's obvious... We live in California, EVERYTHING is illegal!
Speaking of flowcharts, I was at a local gun shop yesterday, it was funny to watch the employees arguing the law with a CalGuns.net flow chart print out!ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕComment

#5 is pretty good as is, as it only addresses an AOW not SBS. An AOW requires a $5 tax stamp. The SBS needs a $200 tax stamp. So maybe #5 can say "Has the proper NFA tax stamp been received for the firearm?" I think asking if the firearm meets the definition of an AOW is moot, it would not receive the tax stamp otherwise.
But let's say that #5 is ONLY for AOW so I would say NO to this one since an SBS is not an AOW. For #6 we say yes and we get a bright yellow VIOLATES box. But THEN we get the SBS box and are good to go after that, however the box asking if the SBS is properly registered makes no mention about the $200 tax stamp which is required. Mentioning the stamp will help a great deal considering most folks keep a copy of the papers with the firearm.
As for the VIOLATES box, it refers to the PC codes on the next page. It's not as smooth flowing as the rest of the chart.
Or maybe we need a flowchart for AOW/SBS/SBR firearms too?"If Jesus had a gun he would be alive today"-Homer SimpsonComment

What? If you answer no to question #6(this is the shotgun flowchart since you didn't bother to mention that, although it should be obvious since you mentioned SBS), it is not a "violates" box, read the entire text, then go read the listed codes. You're allowed to have an SBS as long as you meet the requirement in 12020(b) and it's registered.
You seriously made us wait this long for this? #5 is discussing an AOW(if it were a shotgun, then it wouldn't be an AOW), an AOW is not a shotgun. #6 is addressing a SBS.
edit: I suppose what might clarify things, is including notes on the "ILLEGAL" part, and possibly some of the questions whether something is federal or state, however you still have to abide by both anyway since you're in CA so it doesn't really matter.Last edited by Merc1138; 06-11-2012, 9:30 AM.Comment

Sorry I did not list the flowchart or other details, I was PMing with a mod and they suggested I post this as I wrote it do I did.
On the other charts the yellow boxes go to the ILLEGAL box in conclusion. This one makes a different path and having the yellow box in there is a red flags, Or a yellow flag. If something is legal then why not have green boxes all the way through?
I guess the info is there but the way it is written does not define the 'flow" in "flowchart." It flows like a piano down a hill."If Jesus had a gun he would be alive today"-Homer SimpsonComment
