    ^^ This

Been stocking up since Y2K. Bought for pennies on the dollar compared to today's prices.
Hauled nearly 2000lbs from Kalifornia to TX during our move. So yeah..no shortage here either.

ETA: I always check the ammo aisles whenever I go to a LGS though. I have noticed here lately the shelves have been a little thinner. Not terribly though. But most .380acp has been OOS for a couple weeks now. Not sure why .380 is most sold out. Plenty of 9mm, .40, .45, 556, 762.

And having gun shows here almost every weekend in the surrounding area, always have LOTS of ammo in every caliber.

      Funny..............
The WORST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! possible thing for ammo supply would be every single non prohibited adult in the USA shooting 50 rounds a month.

Anyway................... I'm not seeing a shortage of components. Paying MORE is different than "SOLD OUT", "CLICK NOTIFY ME", "CLICK WAIT LIST".

All the newer gun folks are going to learn the folly of failing to buy it cheap and stack it deep.

Ive been through so many ammo shortages , I never used up ammo from the last one , since we seem to have ammo shortages every 4 or 5 years? Im always waiting for the next one.

the sellers did hold back and lied about ammo shortages before so they could raise prices

I just pulled this just now. The world is seeing 5 cent primers again. It's as low now as I've ever seen it, and in a world with massive inflation everywhere else.

I was a little short on primers. Looks like I'll be buying some more.

I think the shortages are due to powder scarcity and copper supply and cost.

Same here, plenty of ready to go ammo in shop, plenty of primers, cases, powder, bullets to make more if I do run low on ammo. But I live in California, I learned long ago to never buy a box of ammo, buy a few cases, never buy a pound of powder, buy several 8lb. jugs. I can probably shoot rest of my life and never buy more ammo, but I do have a need for a new caliber, so maybe I will have to get more.

I stopped at Sportmans warehouse on the way home from work and they had plenty on the shelf. I forgot to check reloading supplies but last time a few weeks ago small rifle primers were $81 for the 1K brick don’t remember what brand it was but wasn’t CCI.

I just finished moving, Jesus moving all my ammo was a freckin chore. No shortage at my house, I’ve got most of it put away locked in various safes and storage cabinets. But still have a few crates in the garage I have to get too, moving sucks.

Apparently there IS a panic buy.

Got am email from Midway that some .22lr subsonic I like was back in stock after a couple months ago submitting "notify me" request.

Got a back in stock email a day ago but was away to have time to buy some. Checked today to make a purchase and all out of stock again... ugh.

I have about 1500 more 223 55gr rounds loaded this week than I had about a week ago.
I am working through a couple 5 gallon buckets of 223 brass before I move on to the buckets of 9mm brass.

15k small pistol primers just arrived and I have the 9mm bullets, brass and powder on hand to use up those primers.
                        No shortage here.

CNC Machining Services also reflect how global manufacturing supply chains are tightly connected, where demand and material allocation in one sector can indirectly affect others. The powder used in artillery shells is the same stuff they use to load our small arms ammo. Powder manufacturers are diverting so much to produce artillery shells that there's little left over for our small arms ammo. Copper has also gone up dramatically since much of it comes from overseas and is affected by tariffs.

I checked around and sure enough, the most popular cartridge prices have already increased at every retailer I've checked.
Ammo prices can rise during global tensions, but it’s not really because artillery production is “taking” powder from civilian ammo. Military and commercial propellants are produced and allocated in separate supply chains. The bigger real drivers are usually increased demand (panic buying), limited production capacity (especially primers), and higher raw material costs like copper and brass. These factors together are what typically push prices up across retailers.

I recently came into another 7500 small rifle primers and 28lbs of powder for loading 5.56 so I ordered another 4000 M193 bullets and I will keep collecting 5.56 brass to fill another couple 5 gallon buckets to use up these components.
