NFA MP5 for $60k in Reno

Forgot to take a picture. Someone has their NFA MP5 on consignment at Reno Guns and Range for $59,500.

Just thought I would share if anyone has $60k and lives near Reno who wants one

That's the thing, now that I'm in TX I can buy MG's all day long but......I can't fricken afford them so it's moot. lol
Actually, I probably could like an M-11 or something, but I can guarantee it wouldn't go over well if I told my Wife I spent $10-12k on a single firearm, much less 60 grand.

I feel like it could potentially be just a matter of time until we see deregulation on the FA front. Not necessarily full deregulation but at least a roll-back of the 1986 law. Suppressors and SBRs are being normalized right now so FA is the next Bogeyman. PLus we've got Super Safeties and binary triggers now getting normalized as well. Not true FA but similar thrill from what I understand.

I would be loathe to drop 60K on something given that. For the truly wealthy 60K is a mute point but IMO it's an investment that may not age well.

Never going to happen. Republicans have had complete control of government and haven't made a single meaningful attempt at restoration of our rights. I wish you were right though.

People felt the same way about SBRs and suppressors and they are now actively being normalized and becoming widespread. Maybe it won't happen but the times they are a changing

Our Republican controlled ATF and DOJ is actively fighting to make pistol braces illegal and enforce SBR rules and when they had the chance to pass the Hearing Protection Act they completely neutered it and instead of legalizing suppressors all they did was lower the price of the registration and paperwork to $0. So if that's the best we can get with Republican controlled government I think we are screwed when the other side takes over. I wish you were right but I don't see it happening. We are never getting these rights back.

I couldn’t afford it and even if I could I’d probably pass.

but I can afford a few super safeties so have my sbr and my 16 with them with 5 extra cam and levers.

imo I see no real reason to buy an nfa machine gun when you have a very cheap option with an frt that you couldn’t tell the difference between function and rate of fire. Unless your a collecter who wants the nfa item.

We have a Republican POTUS but he's not much in charge of the DOJ and certainly not in charge of ATF. He doesn't seem to know or care about the ATF. He hasn't even appointed a permanent Director. Is the Acting Director even a gun guy? If not, he's not on our side. The Deputy Director is a 21 year ATF stooge, and I bet he makes most of the decisions.

We had a chance of a lifetime to get someone good in there, like Bongino.
