1911’s ~ too finicky 2011’s oh yeah 🤔

Llama is a cute animal lol and definitely not considered a benchmark for 1911. I had a base Government in 1990 that needed some work to be 100%, but at the time we didn't have many JHP options so I stick to FMJ 230gr. Since I had a 96 Combat Commander, which I got used, and noticed some polishing done and it was dead reliable - even with the flying ashtray , I also have a 96 GCNM all stock, never had any issue shooting anything. I personally won't buy JHP at 230gr as they are too slow to be reliable (expending) but anything out there that put over 400fp should do great and outperform anything 9mm.

A Llama can also be a 1911 45acp ~ yes sure it can - but to my point - I grew up shooting all types of 1911’s and the Llama was just one of several that I put hundreds / if not thousands of rounds through.

It's a low cost 1911 nobody would consider to carry, I don't even think llama thing anyone would do. It's a fun range gun, and as such they never bothered to perfect it. Unfortunately entry fee for a solid 1911 is double then a Glock.

I was shooting that in the 80’s, was shooting Colt Gold cup, commanders, Brazilian made colt, Interarm Star PD, auto ordnance, Colt 38 super, Colt Ace 22lr, Springfield 1911’s , Wilson and Nighthawk- just to name a few

Mostly in 45acp, 1 38 super and 1 22lr. Just some of the steel and wood guns.

out some 2011s but the single stack 1911 just feels so good in the hands.

Without normal capacity a double stake makes little sense in California.

If I want to have 15 + 1 rounds of 9mm, I'll just carry my P226.

I have no issues with 2011's.. feed ramps make feeding stuff like speers easier. I know most of my kimber's don't like gold dots. They feed critical defense great though so /shrug

People that have problems with 1911s tend to have a limp wrist/poor grip problem.

I’m not sure if you had a question or what what but I’ve had more malfunctions with polymer guns than my 1911’s. Every machine needs to be ran correctly, and or fixed.
