    Ruger Wrangler .22lr revolver

Finally received my TX driver license this weekend. My Son and I were in the area of a Bass Pro and decided to stop in to look around. At the firearms counter, I asked my Son (he's 11) which pistols or revolvers he thought were cool. He pointed out the Ruger Wrangler, again. So I bought one. It's a really cool little revolver with a 4 5/8" bbl and perfect for him to learn with. Quality and cerakote finish looks good and has a decent weight to it at 30oz. It doesn't feel like a "toy". The total price was $216 OTD, brand new. BGC took about 10 minutes and we were on our way home with it. I've read good things about the Wrangler and can't wait to go plink with it.

I do remember the days in California before it was "Kalifornia", where at least private party long gun sales were cash and carry...until that ended. But yeah, to be able to basically buy anything now at a LGS here and take it home the same day is awesome. Being treated like an American where your 2A freedoms and liberties are upheld, rather than a 2nd class subject is nothing short of excellent.

I picked one up and have had a couple kids learn to shoot on it as their first time shooting.

If I see a super wrangler in stock somewhere, I'm likely to buy it but I'm not looking to order one.

Nice. They're perfect for teaching. My Son has shot a few of my other pistols but he really likes revolvers.

Bass Pro had a Super Wrangler too. I like the sights on it and that you can also shoot .22 WMR with a cylinder change.
But it was a bit too heavy for my Son's liking. I might pick one up after plinking with this one first.

I was in the industry when ALL private sales could be done in the parking lot of the 7-11
            Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I know the first few batches of Wranglers were terribly inaccurate. Hopefully they've improved. I've heard the Super Wranglers didn't have that problem.

The Superwrangler has a big front site blade. Shooting small targets is a challenge.

According to the serial #, this one was shipped from Ruger in 2023, FWIW. It's mostly for my son to learn with. We're going to range this weekend but we'll see how she performs!

Make sense. Maybe I'll rent a SW and the range if they have one and check it out.

Yeah, I like it. The finish on it is great.
