I remember some of his OT posts before the raccoon website was launched. The guy was a stereotypical leftist gun owner and still is. He, along with the Oakland Militant, spouted off the same bullsh*t back then, and I'm sure their thinking hasn't changed in the years. Commies with guns

My guess (my opinion) is that the raccoon does not know. I won’t bother to explain it.

I think if you knew his view(s) on the January 6th event, you might be shocked. Maybe not, but I think some here would be. I think he would lose many members.

I do not know why there is so much hate here for CaGuns. This site was effectively abandoned by Kes for whatever reasons. Logging on was nearly impossible for a long long time and is still hit and miss. Mostly miss. Ikeo saw a need and filled it. And those here that are butt hurt about it should stop complaining and get over it.

I am a member of both sites and I try to get on both every day. CaGuns is very easy to log onto. CalGuns remains nearly impossible. This is the first time I’ve been able to log on and post in about 5 days. We should be happy we have two gun sites here in California, even if one of them is usually unresponsve. And those that complain about CaGuns are a bunch of whiny infants.

No complaints about the other site here, I just don't use it. If this one is down there's plenty of other stuff to do.

I log on multiple times every single day, dude. People here talk **** because the owner of CAguns comes on THIS site, full of those who will not comply with his one way policing of both his site and free thought, to do nothing other than create dissent and spew some cockamamie ideas that come out between both cheeks of his azz. Maybe you should try putting a little more effort into actually getting on Calguns instead of calling us whiners. You’re getting brainwashed in that liberal enclave.

                  1: I am not brainwashed.

2: I try to log onto CalGuns as much as I log onto CaGuns. I get onto CaGuns every time. I get onto CalGuns maybe once in 20 tries. If that much.

3: You seem to be filled with hate.

That number 3, that unsolicited psychological analysis, a mild dissatisfaction and good humored quip with regard to that particular opinion is what got me banned from that site. He was nobody, whereas you have time in here and thus rate a smidgen of respect so I lay off. But in truth I know that if I were to pile on, you could take it because we’re all men here. This has always been like a locker room.

CAguns is a technically awesome site but it is inhabited with cretinous weirdos who would seek (whether knowingly or not) to undo all that is great and good. It’s not hate I’m filled with. It is equal parts knowledge and fear of that knowledge.

I don’t see any “hate” being espoused; what I see is an unmasking of leftist liberalism that supports restrictions and politicians bent on the destruction of 2A culture as we know it. Go read that thread on Duncan that is popular, and you may see what I refer to.

Agree - it's pretty bad. Many of the respondants comments sound like they are shill accounts from gun control orgs with a tone of trying to steer an acceptance of... "infringements aren't so bad, they're just a mere cost/annoyance to our cosplay hobbies in order to create a safer world for everyone".

I prefer to focus on guns. Not bad mouth a website and the person who started it. I’m happy that we now have two gun related sites here in California, even though one works very infrequently. People who diss CaGuns should get a life instead of producing negative thoughts on their keyboard.

I will continue to frequent both sites and contribute as I can. And I hope Kes can get this site working as it should.

Just feels like the racoon is more interested in changing this site.
Nothing wrong with visiting.....just be a lurker....stop pretending to be a Calgunner.

That's supposedly the focus of the other site; i.e., guns, competition, and training, not to mention commerce/trading. This site has a broader theme, the 2nd Amendment, which involves arms and discourse on a broader range of subjects than simply a focus on guns, competition, and training or even just commerce/trading. This site also has sections which allow for a greater diversity of discourse than simply the 2nd Amendment, something the other site doesn't allow, but which was deemed 'useful,' I guess, in terms of building an actual 'community.'

Remember, it's almost as if the posts on this site are 'counter punching' vis a vis what has been said on the other site about this site and Kestryll, not to mention the raccoon's machinations. That's not so much a 'focus' as a 'reaction' or, as I posted directly to the raccoon and have mentioned, posts about him and his site on this one would likely drop to a minimum were he to cease his and his minions' machinations, many of which actually or potentially violate long-standing rules.

Again, this site doesn't work 'infrequently.' It works with some regularity in that there are many members consistently posting EVERY DAY. The availability of/access to the site, however, is inconsistent and we're not sure what is causing that, whether it's the software glitches (which are actually only consistent with a few things) or the new host or something else. Remember, we have asserted opinions, but the only one with any actual insight behind-the-scenes is Kestryll and his post indicated a certain level of uncertainty among the vBulletin techs. The latter is the cause for my presumption as to why Kestryll contacted Corbin Dallas to get advice on tests so he can narrow down where the logjam is.

So, go ahead, feel free to frequent and use both sites. Just bear in mind the difference(s) so that you don't expect one to be the other in terms of the 'focus.'

The rest of us join you in hoping that Kestryll (or whomever he hires) can get this site working like it should.

Earlier today I skipped over there, and read the thread regarding AB1078. Yep, they have a few real, genuine communists over there.
