They are nice, and have only asked me where I was comming from. My Expedition has from time to time been so filthy with dirt that I kinda was expecting that. I'm generally very polite ,and dont get any attitude. Lest they know I'm armed to the teeth!

Most of the time they just wave me through. Couple times that they asked where I was coming from I replied the range, they replied have a nice day.

Then why do some of them have those signs showing the quantity of drugs confiscated and number of DUI arrests made, among other things? You're right, they probably just make those numbers up.

More often than not, they won't say anything except have a nice day but I've been asked my citizenship and what I was doing. Perhaps telling them I was shooting when they can early see guns and targets is volunteering far too much information but no point wasting my time and theirs just to be a smartass.

You're right. We should allow random searches everywhere. Let the police search homes and vehicles without warrants. Put checkpoints on all the major freeways. Just think of how many criminals we could catch!

I think you're on to something. There should be a BP checkpoint right after each DUI checkpoint and there should be one on every freeway onramp
