    Threads fall to the bottom of the pile quickly here. It should have been in the FFL forum to begin with.

    As far as the OP goes, the rejected buyer would have to be very polite to me to get a large portion of his money back.

      In my opinion no. When you exchanged the firearm for the cash, there was a completed sale. Unless you have a written agreement otherwise, it's his gun. He owns it. Now he's just waiting for the kindergarten teacher (CA DOJ) to say he's able to possess it. If it turns out he can't then he owns a gun that is held at a dealer. He can sell it to someone else, and have the person meet him to do the transfer at that FFL or the FFL can ship.

      That's just my view of the legal situation. Depending on his attitude I may work with him, but that's IF...

        If the buyer (transferee) fails the DOJ check, it goes back to the seller (transferor). That is the law. The FFL would be putting themselves in a bad situation if they processed another PPT from the denied buyer to another party.
