    Off roster pricing question

At 55 y/o, I'm losing my central vision. I can't see the center of a target even 10 yards away. I waited 13 months to get my CCW here in San Diego but felt it my responsibility to stop carrying. That leaves me with no interest to keep something I can't use anymore and my kids don't want them.

Of the handguns I'm going to part with, the P238 CA compliant is readily in stock. The other is an off-roster, lightly used HK USP Compact 9MM. It comes with all the original stuff (mags, box, lock and manual). The problem I'm having is no idea what a realistic price is. The last I see on here was late 2023 for $1,200. What would availability put this at?

The market price of anything is what someone will pay for it. Thow it up for $5000 OBO. See what your highest offer is.

Center of mass always works in a pinch.

I realize I made a mistake by providing too much information. No getting around that. The status of me carrying a firearm in public is not in question. I’ll explain.

I have a progressive eye disease (https://www.fightingblindness.org/diseases/best-disease), along with cataracts that onset rapidly over the last year. It compromises my vision, making it unsafe for me to use my firearms, well-trained or not (of which I am), in a public setting.

The primary focus in the CA CCW course is safety. It was also in my law enforcement training in the Navy. It goes without saying that it is in all firearm courses. Another noted topic in the CCW course is liability. There is no ideal situation to use center mass or to train to compensate. I’m not willing ot risk the safety of others because I miss my target, or the rest of my life behind bars because some high-priced lawyer pins me on my recorded vision issue over that of the perpetrator’s intent.

I’ve gotten enough to go on for pricing, and thank those that offered here and through PM’s. Now I hope this topic will simply fade to the background.

I don't know anything about your other eye problem but nowadays there is very simple and successful surgery for Cataracts. It's done in the office, no anesthesia and you go home after an hour.

It has saved millions from blindness.

Even if you are not able to carry safely, it's good to keep as much as your vision as you can.

Unless things have changed, the CalGuns market place was not set up to be an "auction" site.
