Safe Dehumidifier Use, Summer Time?

Don't see too much on this anywhere, so I figured I'd ask to see what everyone else is doing?

I have a Golden Rod dehumidifier in my safe. This works well in the winter, but not that it's summer time and HOT, do I still need to use it? Now my Safe is warmer than ambient temp of the garage. I'm in Sacramento for reference, so it's been quite warm lately.

Do you unplug yours, or leave it plugged in?

Divernhunter also made a good point too about utilizing silicone socks. The lockdown silicone socks are pretty good too; also protects the toys from gun safe dings when moving around or re-organizing.
