Yep, mine is a made in USA though so at least some workers here got paid to build it. I don't have anything against being foreign made, I just buy made in USA when the option is available or I don't buy at all if the item isn't a necessity.

I have some very nice guns that are all very reliable and good shooters. I will say that all though my G19 does not turn heads at the range like some of the others may, I really like the G19. I shoot it well, it fits well in my hand, it is a natural pointer for me and it goes bang every time I pull the trigger. It is not my most accurate gun but it is not that far behind the HK USP or the Sig P226. It is the quickest on target with good hits so for a gun that I need to bring into play in a hurry and be accurate I will choose my G19. I am no slouch with the other guns so that says something for the G19.

But as others have mentioned the Glocks period are not for some shooters. Some prefer revolvers, some will only shoot a 1911. Everybody has a preference and not everyone places a emphasis on the same things in a gun, some like target accuracy, some like reliability and some want both qualities and some will shoot a gun that just fits their eye even if they don't shoot it well. Different strokes for different folks.

Mine is special because it has the super cool Austrian proof marks. If I ever decide to sell it here on calguns I could probably get $2000 for it .

If I could only have one pistol, it would be my 3rd Gen Glock G-19. IMO, it's the best all around pistol out there. The G-19 is small enough to conceal OK, has a tremendous firepower capability, yet still has almost a 4" barrel. The longer G-17 barrel can be used for better accuracy. For those that don't know Glocks, they have some of the best & cheapest magazines out there. A factory +2 base can be fitted to all the mags. The 9mm 10/12 shot subcompact Glock 26 will accept the larger 15/17 rd G-19 mag, the 17/19 rd G-17 mag & the 31/33 rd G-18 mag. The 9mm compact Glock 19 will accept the larger 17/19 rd G-17 mag & the 31/33 rd G-18 mag. The 9mm full size Glock 17 will accept the larger 31/33 rd G-18 mag. Glock is very good about standing behind their product & you can buy replacement parts from them for very reasonable prices. The Glock is super reliable & has no added extra PC BS "features" such as: DA, DAO, safeties, de-cockers, loaded chamber indicators (other than a simple mod to the extractor & a slight cutout in the chamber wall), magazine disconnects, warnings engraved & all the other crap people here seem to love on guns. The only somewhat lame part of a Glock is the 2 part trigger, which can easily be removed. It's not very intrusive, but it's not necessary either. About the only thing the Glock lacks is a better texture for the grip area & the slide release lever. The magazine release button should be a bit longer IMO. An aftermarket longer one can be trimmed to the length you like. The SN plate needs to be painted flat black also.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.
