    Does anybody's grandpa remembers the .41 Colt but the .45 Colt is still with us. Reminds me of .40 S&W (Short & Weak) and the .45 ACP. .45 ACP will still be around.

        I shoot a lot of .41 in revolvers. Load Special length wadcutters with Starline stamped .41 Special brass even. 40 S&W is just a utility round that i don't shoot much of, since my duty days were 9MM and now we are back to 9MM.

          If you think .40S&W is weak, then you've never read a ballistic stat on it nor have actually shot it in any frequency. Plenty of loadings have more energy than .45ACP and almost always faster at the muzzle.

          Ironically, I shoot .41-Magnum quite a lot too. For that matter, .41-Colt was not a bad cartridge by any means.

          I love .45ACP but facts are facts.
