Question about 1 in 30 exemption

I bought a Hellcat pro on 5/1 and I already picked it up. My 30 day wait isn't up till 5/31. I purchased 2 ar lowers yesterday with my FFL03 and COE. I would like to buy atleast one more firearms before the 11% tax. Not many shops are aware or willing to apply the exemption, I would like to know if it's possible to buy another gun after 5/31 without the exemption being applied on the DROS?

You could just buy a gun through a PPT.

Find other shops. If you let us know where you're at someone here can recommend better stores.

        Edit

I just noticed that the new software doesn't show our location.
        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

That's what I was afraid of. I didn't want to possibly deny or delay the AR purchase. The owner of my local gun store said that his DOJ representative told him that the exemption only applies to C&R firearms. I tried telling him about the bulletin that had went out In 2018 regarding the exemption, but he just said there is nothing he can do.

2A Zone has two locations and they know about the exemption and how to use it.

I will definitely check them out. The Riverside location is only 20 minutes away. Thank you all for the help!

If you find better shops that apply the exemption, you should be fine.
The problem will be if you are within the 30day window of a current dros that was not done under an exemption and you try to start ANOTHER non-exempt DROS.

Tell your FFL to go login to DES and click on "review bulletins" and then look at the notice dated 5/29/2018 with the title "1 and 30 Exemptions for a 03 FFL with a COE"
That should answer any questions he may have.
