Well you can still buy private party with out the taxes
      1. Compared to what?
      2. At what cost?
      3. What hard evidence do you have?

Bought my last new gun tonight and I'm calling it a protest purchase. California got their last taxable gun purchase out of me!

Only buy private party after the extra 11% tax starts.

that's the next 100 million we buy not the last 100 million we already bought
or the 100 million in the middle

Well there they are $1100 but yours is likely vintage (at that price) so clearly more. In July that Cabelas price goes up 11% to more then $1200 so its going to raise yours as well - the higher prices are going to negatively affect all buyers but at least we can keep the money from the criminals in SAC.

Interesting question to ponder. Since the tax is not levied on the consumer, but on the manufacturer who will undoubtedly pass it on in new pricing, I can imagine that existing firearms that were sold before the tax might follow the increase in the used market. If they don't track the increase, or course they are likely to be a better bargain and sell faster.

I don't think you would pay 11% for ppt , but since new guns are expensive now sellers may also ask relatively little more for used ones

I'm sure Turners does ok, and the small shop with only the owners working the store.

People are buying, and the fear of what's coming is good for business!
