When did Calguns become ARFCOM?

I'm personally a bit tired of all the lower junk, and for a time felt like calling it "lower.com". I think when a place degenerates into a one item forum you are bound to have problems, so everyone pull out some pistols and leverguns and shotguns and what have you and spread it around.

The only thing about calguns that I've noticed is all the people who only learned that we HAVE and assault weapon ban just yeasterday are already giving legal advice today!

haha, funny. I remember seeing the UZIs and AR-15s in Gemco as a kid(I'm 34 now) and pleading with my dad to buy one(he didn't, THANKS MOM!), and even venturing into a gun shop as a minor to watch in awe, the counter guy who didn't mind me peeking my head in, wave around a Galil and unpacked a S.I.G. 550 out of the box! Roberti-Roos happened while I was in powerless to buy anything high-school, and the eve of the Federal AWB spooked CA gun owners. Kalser and SB-23 just added further insult to injury.

So, yeah...the non-listed lower craze is just that, crazy...almost 20 years of suppressed crazy.

Personally I think this is a short term thing. Once the dust clears and these are registered Assault Weapons and the fight between gun owners and the DOJ is over many will move on. I joined shortly before Ben posted the now legendary tuxedo picture of the JP Rifles and things were DEFINITELY slower and more laid back then.

A lot of folks just jumped on the AR/AK off-list bandwagon. This is a good thing though because the more we get into the state the more we stick it to the man.

Regarding the pricing, I think that is just a NoCal/SoCal thing. Everything costs more in NoCal. When a SoCal sees the price he/she thinks that the NoCal is trying to rip someon off. If only we had a Traders up here, maybe we can sell our rifles and pistols for a reasonable price. And because we are from California we should all know about price gouging to start with!

well, i truly hope i wasn't a root of the ARFcom plague in my participation of the Mega FS thread...as i never bashed his price as being unfair. but, the guy was suspect, and wouldn't own up to a simple question.

When people start to ask what tactical socks to wear with their tactical sun glasses, has 20 accessories (scopes, red dots, lasers, flashlights, 2 dildo grips... I mean forward pistol grips, etc) on their rifle, and thinks the .223/5.56 round is the best man stopper around, then it'll be ARF.com.

Well...FWIW... I like it here save SOME of the elitist attitudes that were originally encountered...but I agree too that I think its come from the lower madness. Please dont mind the fact that I hate Arizona, dont frequent Arfcom, my anus is regular sized (thank you) and I do have an M14 that's NOT full auto, and the personal attacks here have been veryyyyyyy far and few between, and I dont live in a trailer park

All that said, Rock on Calguns.....the deadweight will get tired and leave in time, the newbies will become edumikated, and we can carry on in our quest for a total reversal of the AWB after we replace Diane with Cindy Sheehan ( ) .

The board has changed since the lower madness, but the board would have changed eventually. Everyday someone turns eighteen, and we have a new rifleman to welcome to the board. New shooters with new ideas.

It took me some time to get on board with the lower trend, but now I am back on the fence with the whole issue. I own a lower, and I can honestly say that I am not really too excited.

If you have a problem with someones post, PM them or e-mail them. Remember, there are no stupid questions. We all had to ask stupid questions at one point so go easy on the new guy. If you disagree with someone, you can let it be known just be nice about it.
