EAA Zastava EZ 40 S&W. My buddy owns it and my god its nothing but FTF after FTF after FTF. I did some more research and found out that other people have the same problem even after sending it back to the factory. I wouldn't dare trust it with my life. He tried selling it to me for $250 but there's no way in hell I'd buy that steaming pile of crap.

        GSG-5

I have to detail strip the thing to keep it clean after every single outing, and something new breaks on it every other range trip. JB weld has been quite helpful, which I had to use since the thing had such a short warranty period (I would have sent it in to let the manufacturer fix it, but nope out of warranty). The coolest looking POS you can get, and the first 500 rounds were pretty awesome, but all down hill from there. And yes I'm even talking about the gen2.

I'll be avoiding anything from this manufacturer in fact. Complete garbage.

          .
          This thread is

          I never met a firearm I didn't like...

Firearms are like women... some go BOOM and some just go POP...

Some firearms are for banging and some are for carressing...

Lord knows I have too many, just too many them women... uhhh-HEM...! I mean Firearms...,
I have too many of them kinda firearms in my safe what are just for carressing...
unless I take them out to BANG...! - Then they GO BOOM...!

I hope I didn't cross the line... just the irony of it all is, is, is...

before the onslaught of posts -- I'm not saying glock pistols are bad. in fact they are great. I'm just saying that one specific pistol, the generation 4 glock 19 has not been sorted out yet by the factory. avoid paying extra SSE fees for a gen 4 that doesn't work -- stick with a gen 3 glock 19 instead.
Ha...I almost bought one of those the other day. Went with a Walther PPQ instead......which is an awesome pistol by the way.

Out of the box it wouldn't go into battery every 20 or 30 rounds. Sent it back, came back fixed. OK, fine.

500 rounds later the VIS, recoil spring guide, back side of the dust cover and several other surfaces look like someone took a ball peen hammer to them.

Does it function? Flawlessly. Is it going to keep doing so? No idea. It's a nice looking pistol, and if it didn't shoot I'd have no problem calling it a loss and tossing it into the Bay. Accurate little thing too, even with the crappy USGI sights. For what it is, it's not worth throwing another $80 at it to ship it back to NV for more "work".

On the Glock front, I recently became a new Glock owner (30SF). I must say, I like it (and I was rabidly anti-plastic pistol for many, many years) and it just does the job.

I'm generally not a raving fanboy when it comes to pistols, except where the Hi Power and 1911 are concerned. After all JMB was a genius and should be accorded his proper place in the pantheon of firearms greats. It's just a shame his design has been bastardized and doesn't translate well into the compact form factor. :/

Thanks for warning people about the Rock Island Armory 1911 .45s.

                      Hmmm

I almost never buy newer firearms and prefer the older ones. I like wood rather than synthetic, blued over stainless, and the fit and finish that seems to have been lost over the years. Years ago you used to be able to buy a gun that had a deep rich bluing that resembled a black mirror, the older Colt pythons comes to mind. Have we lost the ability to manufacture guns that are functional as well as a piece of art?

It is just a pain in the assss to shoot. I have to adjust my grip after every shot, aqward grip position and is just plain ugly in my opinion.

As far as it being junk, I have no idea since I have never owned one. But from what I read and hear, they are VERY reliable

The only thing I find good about it, is after I shoot it, it makes me love my M&P even more.

Yep, they are ugly and as exciting as a bic lighter. If you ever come out to the San Fernando Valley. meet me at my gun club and you can try mine. Just adding a Hogue slip on grip changes the entire feel of the glock. Switches it from garbage to gold.

Remington 597 is garbage. It jams regularly and the 10 round mags only hold 9, and if you try to cram the 10th round in (which you can) it will crease the side of the brass from all of the force it takes to make it fit. I mistakenly broke the receiver and a I won't spend one penny fixing it. I have a $300 paper weight if anybody needs parts.

Oh yeah, the Taurus 24/7 isn't even worth shooting at. My buddy owned one and it was embarrassing to see all of the problems
