    Haha, Zing!

Is it possible it's just a specific run of the rifles? Like the article states; Why is this just coming to light now? Not enough firefights and or field testing to find this issue beforehand?

If i was German infantry i'd be a little unsettled by this.
"Then there are sheepdogs. The sheepdogs are the bastions of safety. The sheepdog lives solely to protect the flock and confront the wolf. They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

Wouldnt be too hard to get data.... Do sustained fire tests and check accuracy.

Maybe it's shooter error. They should have learned their lesson about accuracy and long distances in Belleau Wood.

              LOL.

But seriously, it's a bit odd that only now this has been noticed... unless the people in charge have been trying to cover this up for years.

                  Again, just what I've seen...
Wasn't the average contact distance in Iraq, something like 75 yards?
