I'm looking for a large hard case for rifles right now so I can fly with them; I just use the S&W hard case my M&P came in and lock it up and I'm good when I fly. I didn't have any problems but was neurotic as h*** when going....

There is no definition of 'locked container' that specifies 'hard'; soft case that locks is satisfactory for RAWs.
