If only there were a department or group responsible for providing information about gun laws...maybe a state dept... that maybe oversaw ffl's\gun stores and made sure they did things correctly... wish we had something like that...

I'm wondering though, is it better to call an employee on their FUD or wait and set the customer straight later? I didn't want to argue with the employee and have him try to pull the "i work in a gun store" card which might convince the customer he was right, but i also didn't want the customer thinking I was some mall ninja who thought he knew more than a gun store employee, which would make him believe the FUD the employee was spilling. I had no way of proving what i was saying was right, and this employee was 100% convinced that what he was saying was the letter of the law. Luckily it worked out for me and the customer this time, but if it happens again, things might not be so lucky...

I'd question the guy and tell the customer to check out calguns. I think most would come to the conclusion that the calguns foundation is more credibility than jim-bob gun salesman.

Promoting calguns seems like a prudent thing to do. We should Have a flyer that lists all of the sticky links to critical laws. They could be given to the shops or even left to be distributed. An increase in membership and educated gun owners would be beneficial all the way around. It is tough to explain the benefit of calguns to people who know what kind of garbage can be conveyed on the internet. Links directly to the awesomeness would be cool.
