Silly uninformed gun stores

The other day I went into a gun store (wont give the name)... For a while I've been thinking about building a featureless AR (no bullet button)...When I made the mistake of asking how to take out a bullet button the store owner literally started yelling at me along with the staff. None of them had any idea what a "featureless" rifle was. They kept yelling at me telling me I was going to go to prison and that they would never give legal advice on breaking the law. I should have known better then to ask an uniformed gun store something like that.

Why do people post a problem with a store and then withhold the store name?

Don't you think it would be helpful for other people to know the store that isn't knowledgeable on featureless builds so that they avoid having the same experience you did? Or maybe someone from CalGuns will eventually get in touch with that store to inform them on featureless, making things better all around.

If it can be used for good and not for slander, then I'll give the store. Greta's Guns in Simi Valley.. Really nice place... just not informed on featureless guns.

Had that problem at bass pro shops in manteca. Great for selection, price and ammo. Poor for information

There was no point in arguing with them since they didnt want to hear my explanation so I just left haha

Good. ive been to that store before, i didnt get a good feeling and left. the people just seemed... stupid.

Yes, yelling. I wouldnt say it was screaming , but yelling would be a good description. If he was genuinely being nice about it in trying to explain himself -and then let me explain myself then I would have said it was "talking loudly" but he was being a jerk.
It was mainly one guy who was being condescending and rude and wouldnt let me explain myself.
Then when I asked the rest of the staff if they knew what a featureless rifle was they had no idea and didnt care to hear.
