I just got my AR pistol with a 7.5" barrel so I have no long term experience. I put an old Bushnell reflex sight on it (one that they produced before starting the Eotech line) and was very pleased with the results. I think a lot depends on your intended use, but considering the range of a 7.5" barrel, the Eotech is a great way to go. Both eyes open for better field of view and quicker sight acquisition are the reasons I suggest an Eotech over open sights.

From experience go with the EOTech and a flat top (dont bother with a magnifier). Having both eyes open with an AR pistol is crucial.

If you've ever shot one you'd know. Its certainly not like a rifle in any way and its definitely not a handgun. Its a very unique shooting experience that takes some getting used to.

I voted flat with Eotech but instead of an Eotech I would use a Microdot from Aimpot or Primary Arms.

I like the smaller package on a pistol, and keeps the weight down.
