Ya, no guns this year for me, didn't end well, Just yesterday picked up Dan Wesson Classic Bobtail. No Intervention needed as long as your gun addiction is remedied after all other bill have been taken care of. Congrats on your purchases.

When you have more than six of the exact same make, model and caliber, a line has been crossed. Up to that point, all is normal.

The big problem with having a lot of guns - lets say in the 20s - is that even if you go shooting once a week, either you only get to shoot any given gun twice a year, or you end up bringing a lot of guns to each session and then you have that much more cleanup, etc. So if you're getting them to shoot and not collect you definitely start to hit diminishing returns at some point.

All other bills are paid, but one thing I didn't mention in the OP, my wife was with me at Turners when I bought everything, as long as she can use them (and she can) she is happy.

The ban on additional gun purchases is a good thing for me but that will not preclude buying things like scopes, extra magazines or reloading components, after all if we do not have ammo ready to go to the range, THEN I will get in trouble for not reloading enough

I have a great wife who encourages me in this hobby as long as I keep it in some moderation

As for the safe, if I go with Rhino will most likely be the 5942 (59H x 42W X 26D) and Costco is the best place to buy it. If I go with the Sturdy will most likely be the 4824 (60H x 48W x 24D). Have to get the cabinet built for the safe first and until then the security cabinet will have to do.

Do I have an addiction??? Do I need an intervention??

Thats normal, its the other people that need it.

Everything sounds about right to me!
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

Sounds like you shop at Turner's too much.

Buying a safe isn't going to help, it might make things worse as you start to feel like you have plenty of room to fill up.

And once its full you have to buy another..... then you can't have an empty safe so you have to fill it...

Make sure your financial health and future are in order before purchasing more firearms.

Someday you will find another hobby, you're going to need a large sum of money, you'll wish you had put it elsewhere.

We can arrange an intervention at your local Turners, meet up in front of the Mossberg MVP and Ruger Gunsite right next to the Henry rifles
