Cheapest gun you have ever bought?

I would like to know what THE ABSOLUTE CHEAPEST GUN you have ever bought or seen for sale. I have personally seen a gun for 15 dollars, and it was a broken .22 revolver. My cheapest gun I own is a Mosin Nagant M91/30.

This was back in 2008, I got to an estate/garage sale early, and the deceased's son told me that their dad had a large gun collection that they wanted to sale. (this is in a VERY affluent area) I asked to go take a look at it, and inside that safe, i saw 14 of the SWEETEST Browning Over/Unders and S&W revolvers. i asked the guy what he wanted for the lot, he said, and i quote "idk, $400 for the lot?" i promptly told the guy that ill make him one offer, handed him $1200 in cash, and drove down to the gun shop 5 minutes later to start all of the paperwork. best deal i ever made

Wow, that is a very very good deal. Even with your generosity (which is exactly what people should do) you paid less than $100 per gun. Not to mention they seemed nice form what you said. Very cool story. I had a friend get a Colt Python for $400. At first the lady offered him it for $100.. -_- Its a very nice revolver.

I gave someone a $9 bottle of Vodka for a .22 LR rifle. He wanted LSD but I only had the alcohol so he settled.

Defiantly, when you get an extremely low price due to ignorance, i'ts the right thing to simply give them a little more...... but still get it crazy cheap hahaha

Forty Dollar .22 convertible SA Tanfoglio E-15 revolver, and a $50 Marlin 60 from my father-in-law. Came with bulk packs of ammo.

Wow that's a pretty sweet deal on both. I hope one day something will come across me like this.

He had the gun, wanted drugs instead. I had the alcohol, wanted the gun instead, but I wasn't going to go near LSD.

Scared of your own thoughts eh?

A while back I found an M38 Mosin Nagant here on Calguns that had been slightly bubba'd.
Kid listed it as in great condition, sporter stock, ati bent bolt, but it included the original m38 stock, and original bolt. Missing rear sight but 240 rounds thrown in.
I think he wanted $220 or obo.

We pm and I agree to meet him that night for 200 cash.
We meet and this is what I see:
The original m38 stock is actually a M44 stock, oh well didn't think I could be that lucky.
I look at the rifle and notice that it has been tapped for a scope mount.
So at that point of course I want him to come down a bit because of the holes that where not disclosed.

He wont budge at all.. we haggle for like 20 minutes he wont come down a penny. Finally I start to walk and he goes down to 190.

Get home put it back in its rightful stock and put the original bolt back in.
I then sold the sporter stock for like 50 bucks
And the bolt for 75 I think
So I made back 125 bucks not bad..
I had to get a rear sight which took a while to track down but only cost me about 25 bucks
Then I found 2 small set screws that I loctited in (most people would never notice)

                              $190 Initial Cost
                              -$125 Parts Sold
                              +$25 Rear Sight
                              _____________
                              $90 Final Cost
                              ~90 bucks value in rounds
                              Virtually Free!

So that's the story of my practically free debubba'd M38
