No offense but THAT my friend is internet hype...

Its been discussed here and on other boards rather extensively. Had this been the case it would have been ALL over the news. The logistics *might* be there but might and *did* are two different things. Until/unless someone posts an actual article stating its happend or a court docket #/transcript showing this is what's happend....its all just internet lore....

Believe what you want. I don't get my 'gossip' from the internet. I hear plenty of it at the gun shop I work at. As for getting you proof, sorry, I can't be bothered. Just go to the Reno show or one of the local Reno gun shops, buy high capacity mags and come back. Try your luck.

I wouldn't doubt it if the DOJ will be crawling around there. With all the "hi-cap mag" threads that occured every 2 days shortly after "lower mania" both on here and arfcom + people who never seem to learn, they're licking their chops.

i have been to a few shows out of state and the cali ones really arn't that bad.. most gun shows out of state.. ONLY carry guns.. i miss that jerky sometimes.. haha.. I actually have a better time at the Crossroads shows then the ones in ATL and Vegas.

If anyone's going to the Cow Palace, can you keep your eyes out for a complete bolt carrier group/charging handle? Need one for an upper. I don't want to make the trip all the way out there for nothing.

Dude, you've had some really good posts~ but please, without providing proof with a statement like that dont pass along the untrue hype. WHY would I wanna try to break the law when the very next paragraph outta my post was mirroring what you said- it IS illegal? The shows are cool yea, but as we've BOTH noted- WHY tempt fate?

So again, I'm sorry if I got you riled up. Not my intention to have done so, it was to simply point out that what you said is unproven and thus shouldn't be taken as fact...that's all.

As for the Cow palace shows..... I think they've royally sucked...... Mosins that have been shot out for $299 and trinket knives you can get 3 for $15 from cheaper than dirt and yet at the show they're going for $40 a piece. MUCH to LOOK at...but NOT alot to buy unless you're into the mall-ninja wanna-be tactical gear or used gear thats been sooooo used it should be tossed. I've attended about every other one for the past 3 years and my "list" of stuff i want/need of about 200+ items has never come close to being touched by the Cow palace shows....

The *onlY* thing I've seen these shows good for is surplus ammo. Also actually being able to feel/touch/see something that can be had for half on the internet- so I go to play, come home and mail-order to buy.........

I just came from the Jerky/knife/jewelry/crap gun show. It was about the same as it always is, SUCKY. The guys from Outdoor Marksman were there with plenty of ammo sales, it was the high point of the show.

I just got back and realized I forgot to buy the beef jerky, but I did get some 9mm ammo. No XM193 that I as hoping to get. The only thing of interest was Sonoma Firearms selling stripped Vulcan .308 (not pinned) for $399 and pinned complete lowers for $699; little on the pricey side.

In any event, this is only a message board, and I am only reporting what I have personally heard in person from people that I trust. It is up to you to decide to make the decision or not.

I can't prove to you that the Kennedy Assasination was a conspiracy, and certianly I can't prove we did land on the moon. I'm not going out of my way to find you facts in either of those cases either. I'm sorry, I'm not a lawyer, and you have not hired me on as a retainer, nor do I feel some need or desire to validify my statements. Take them or leave them.

xenophobe~ Ok, THAT is really all you had to say was that you heard it from several reliable sources~ although I dont doubt you heard it~ I do doubt what they have told you.

If you are infering that I was wrong about the transfer post question- I WAS...and I admitted my fault and corrected it as such. I went off half-info that I too had personally WITNESSED not just 'heard"...but again, the underlying "facts" were called into question and I was wrong, stated as much and life goes on.

The fact that this is a messege board doesnt alleviate any of us from passing on reliable & verifiable info. You say you have sources....Ok. But then to turn right around and for a second time tell me to break the law......... that sir is ludicrous and stupid. It does nothing to further the fact that what you've stated is flat out BAD advice.

Look, I'm not here for a pissing contest. I come here for information exchange. I want that info to be truthful, reliable, and verifiable. IS your post any of those? Again, I fall upon my own sword sometimes but your information cant be verified, its questionable at best in its truthfulness, and the only reliablity herin is the fact that BOTH of us recognize doin' the "Reno Shuffle" aint a good thing will land you in the pokie.
