Does anyone else name their guns?

I'll give a girlfriend a nickname, a term of endearment.

But not a gun.

That's just me.

I do this with GF's as well ... give then a unique new name.

Not really names....

I refer to my 2 N frame S&Ws, a .357 & .45ACP, as "Mr. & Mrs. Smith."

A pair of 4" no dashes as "Peanut butter & jelly," cause they caused me to eat a lot of it.

Last year my bf was telling me that he and his friends decided to come up with names for their guns so that they could talk about them discretely with other people around. Oddly enough, at the *same* time we both came up with 'Guinevere' for his Glock 35. A friend of his has an M&P9 that he calls 'Mary Poppins.'

Before I had even figured out which pistol I was going to get, I had decided on 'Winona' for it (Farscape fans anyone?). I have a Ruger SR22 in jail that I'm leaning towards 'Raven.'

It may yet be a while before I'm able to get an AR, but I think I'll go with 'Gladius' (FF XIII).

Does anyone else give names to their guns? How did you come up with the name?

I used to until I had so many I couldn't remember the names I just named my cat Ruger after that and called it a day.

GLOCK, mossberg, HK, AR, etc...

I don't give them "real" names and just call then what they are. Not discreet either about them in public, but that's just me.

I stole it from Stephen Colbert...My favorite I call simply...Sweetness
