I've posted this video a while back... its a .577 Tyrannosaur by accurate reloading.
They have some awesome african safari hunting pictures.
They have something called the .700 nitro express which puts shame to the 577...

I have had this video on my box for many months. As a big bore hunter, I absolutely laugh my donkey off every time I watch it. It has been kicking around the African hunting community for the past year.
The nastiest recoil I ever experienced was from a first year production Remington .375 Ultra Mag.
Remington built the rifle completely incorrectly, using a slender tapered barrel and a poor stock. I won the rifle and then invested more than its' cost into trying to make it shoot. Because of the light bbl and the heat generated by the rounds, the 3rd round would always go wherever it wanted. Sent it back to Rem x2 and discussed the issues with them, to no avail.
Re-stocked it. Spent hundreds in ammo and a years time on it. Finally admitted defeat and sold it, with warnings, along with a .416Rem to someone heading to Africa for their first safari.
I use a .416Rem and a .458Lott for my African heavy work, and am quite happy with both. Recoil is very manageable with the .416Rem and manageable with the .458Lott.sigpic RVN 01May66 - 15Jun67Comment

Notice the last guy in the video is able to fire it without looking like an idiot...He controls the rifle just fine by employing a proper stance, cheek weld and shoulder placement of the rifle.
