Hey new to Calguns, Happy to be here.

I'm wondering if anyone has heard of Model1sales.com and ar15-kits.com and also galatiinternational.com ?

I'm looking at the 20'' upper 7.62x39 I'm hopping for any feed back and reviews.

this kid does a decent review on his kit.
I have bought a few from model1 sales. they are good quality kits. only problem i have had is their receiver pin detent pins are a little oversize, they tend to get stuck. buy the pins from del-ton.

Speaking of Del-ton i was looking at there 16'' carbine 7.62x39 upper. But wasn't sure about delton. I've dealt with spikes tactical, dpms, and bushmaster. Spikes Tactical is my number one but they don't make a 7.62x39.

          I have the Del-Ton 16" upper in 7.62x39.
It has worked flawlessly for me. Accuracy, durability, reliability, fit & finish, all good.
I haven't needed customer service so I can't comment on that.

I have built many delton kits as well, they are good solid weapons.
delton does offer a 7.62X39 kit but it is only available in the carbine version. model one offers other barrel lengths and profiles.
            both have been great suppliers.
I have delt with customer service at both and they have been nothing but curteous.

Nice thats what I found delton only has a 16'' carbine (which I do love) But i want to mix it up. model1 Has a 20'' 7.62x39. And i found one at AR-kits. But I'm leaning towards model 1 right now.

The 7.62x39 seems to be very popular now, Delton and bushmaster are both out of stock of the 16'' cabine 7.62x39 right now.

I've buit a spikes and more all 556, but the spikes is my fav. But spikes does not make 7.62x39.

yup, Del-tons have been my favorite kits in terms of quality , but you just can't beat selection at model1.
when I build midlengths I always use Del-tons, for everthing else I have gone with Model1. I like that with most of their kits you can order fluted or stainless barrels. At Del-ton , I like their heavy barrel that comes standard with the midlengths.

                  Good stuff thanks torquefliterror !

How does model1 stuff do with steal cased ammo. like Bear. wolf.

If delton had the 16'' 7.62x39 upper in stock I would of orded it last week. But since I've had time to think I'm sure I want 20'' ... But never say never to the 16''

All I shoot is the steel stuff through both my Del-ton and model 1 guns. just grease the four rails on the bolt carrier and the bolt lugs liberally with high temp bearing grease. some drops of oil in the side of the bolt to lube the gas rings. should fire every time.

I have used the polymer stuff and it works fine , the laquer stuff people say leaves too much residue in the chamber. your best bet is silver bear. it costs a little more but it has a zinc coating so the cases don't leave any type of gunk in the chamber.
here is one of my latest builds. it is built with an rguns upper though. lubed just like i said. works ever time
                    correction.
along long time ago i did have have 1,000 rounds of the old wolf laquer coated. i shot it through my bushmaster with zero failures. I think people have problems cause the don't lube their Ar's

Nice youtobe. were you bumb fire burst or just fast on trigger.

Back to steal that my minis love but have not used in my ARs. brass ammo is reasonable in price for 556 and 223.

7.62x39 although is not cheap in brass.... I sent a e-mail off to mode1 and showed interest in 7.62x39 upper and mentioned I would be using steal and they did not like that they said it would damage weapon. I'm not saying I agree it's just what they said.

they all say that, even delton. I don't understand why I have used steel ammo exclusively in all my guns.

this pistol is also built on their kit. works fine everytime. it seems all manufacturers say that. pay them no mind.

ha ha, I couldn't bump fire if my life depended on it.
I was just doing double taps to function check the weapon. I had just assembled it with the new handguard and wanted to make sure the gas block was properly positioned over the gas port.

I thought you made it look real easy.. I've tried with no success...

I agree with the steal what the problem. If it functions it works thats all I care about.

Model1 email was not that assuring to me. I wanted them to up sell the gun to me like a used car sales, not down sell it

It almost tells me to wait for the delton $440 16'' 7.62x39......Model1 $517 for 20'' 7.62x39. Bushmaster aslo 16'' 7.62x39 $510 out of stock that I could find.
