Just stopped by walmart here in San Diego (specifically the santee location) for a brick of .22's and some 9mm and a big sign is posted on the ammo cabinet "Walmart is temporarily not selling ammo". My jaw dropped in disbelief and the manager at the register said "everyone has had the same look you do!" And we laughed about it. I asked why the sign and is it for all san diego locations, and he replied that he doesn't know why there is a hold on selling ammo, for what reasons or how long, just the word came from the top to pull the merchandise from the shelf. I don't knwo if this is a state wide event or a county deal but it sure does suck!

There's a thread in ammo & reloading where the same thing happened to 2 of someone's local Walmarts.
