ak-74 wount unjam

i just purchased a used ak-74 from a gun show
i finally got the chance to take it out today and after 30 rounds it jammed
and locked up i cant cock it its like the safety is stuck

i tried taking it apart i cant remove the gas piston theres a wire holding it on

theres still a bullet in the chamber


any suggestions ?

Are you still at the range ? I would hope so with a live round there. Did you make sure the safety is all the way down ? If it is , unless the rails broke pull back on the bolt as hard as you can .

crap im at home in my garage this bolt wount pull back and there is a bullet in the chamber im going to mess around and blow my faceoff if i use my boot

ok i used a hammer it worked and come to find out the round was not live after all just a spent shell jammed

What? How can you blame the ammo, dude? The AK platform LOVES steel-cased ammo. It's practically a match made in heaven.

I had the same problem. The case ballooned, and seized the bolt. At least I cleared it at the range.
