    Statewide "Places to Shoot" Map

I got tired of having to go to 4 different search sites to find places to shoot in Northern California (Santa Maria to the Oregon border). I've compiled them, painstakingly by hand, on this Google Map.

It is now a STATEWIDE map! Does not include secret locations (BLM, private property, etc.).

Map of most places to shoot in California. Does not include non-listed locations (some BLM, non-public areas, etc.) Last updated 6/29/2013 See respective websites for more information. Map courtesy of TheBest of Calguns.net

Pretty darn cool! Thanks for all the effort in putting this together. I really like the fact that you included brief info on each of them. Definitely book marked! Rated it 5 stars.

    Thanks again!

Thanks! The (In/Out) means it's indoors or outdoors, or they have both.

              Spenceville Range.

Immediately East of Beale Air Force Base, CA F & G Spenceville Wildlife Area.

Unregulated, outdoor, parking lot and some tables to set up on. Sometimes crowded, sometimes full of shotup junk, has a pistol distances to the left, 200? yard rifle distance to the right. Self regulated safety - call your own Ceasefire/Range Hot.

Please haul out your trash and maybe a little bit more. Needs organized clean ups a couple of times of year.

Just added everything above this post.

I don't have BLM lands on here because finding spots to shoot there are up to you.

Eventually I'll add SoCal (since this is CALGuns), but that was hard enough.

Excellent work. I was hoping for BLM spots though, maybe not exact spots, but areas where shooting is allowed. Nearest BLM place I know is about 3 1/2 hrs away, but I do travel to Oregon once or twice a year and wouldn't mind a side trip.

I went to Circle S for the first time a couple weeks ago...nice range if you bring all your own stuff. $10 also, so it is about the cheapest range fee in the Bay Area...it looks like its part of someones property as the range is off the main driveway and you can see their house/barns further down the way.

Your map says it's only 100 and 200 yards for rifle though. Should add 300 yards so people know it goes out that far. That's the distance I was shooting at with my AR.

The website says they ask to see your targets if you want to move to 200 and 300, but the range master told me just to go for it. If you look like a newb, prepare to show that you can group.
