Went to the dmv a couple of weeks ago to get a change of address so I could buy my 10/22. The lady that helped me said instead of paying the $25 for the duplicate ID with the new address, she told me that I could just pay $5 and get my driving record print out and she would put my new address on it. My LGS accepted it as a form of gov ID.

yeah, thats the "information request" or something like that it's called. It's official for identification and proof of address.

In my case I had to combine a valid DL and a temporary DL printed directly from DMV with my new addy, and the dealer had to call ATFE to make sure he could accept it that way... luckily for me she said yes and I didnt have to go back to DMV again o.0

fwiw, I've purchased a few guns using my DL with old address and form DL43 (its actually a small card) with new address that you hand write in. (But, I did use my correct/new address on dros form).

Or as others stated go online to make change

Check with your FFL on what document he/she needs to confirm an address change. I bought a pistol with an old address on my CDL and the FFL used my voter registration to confirm the address change.
