    you should see what a .40 golden saber does to a flesh. you can't sew it back.

      if it was a 10mm loaded hot with 135gr hp's, as soon as the firing pin moves, the scumbag would immediately vaporize and the entire cities power would go out then momements later flickers back on. There would be no trial becuz there are no bodies. Completely saves tax dollars.

        NY cops shoot so horribly they can hit you 21 times and you will survive....
        50 shots fired, less than half connected, 0 vital.

        NYPD should be armed with rocks. much cheaper to the tax payer, and has the same effect on BGs as their guns do.

          A key statement in the news article is that
          NYPD uses the 9mm as a sidearm, IIRC. This report tells me certain things;
          1. Never underestimate the human body's ability to absorb damage and keep going.
          2. It doesn't matter how many rounds you have if you can't connect with something vital.
          3. No gunfight ever goes the way you think it should.
          4. The larger the police department, the lower the overall marksmanship.

          The bad news for the guy is that he'll survive to go on trial for murder, attempted murder of police officers, ADW against police officers and probably a dozen other charges.
          10 MM, for when you absolutely, positively can't get your shot placement right.

            For some reason, I expected the follow on to say "He died after getting shot the twenty-second time."

                I want to hear from all the couch commando tacticians about the NYPD and their inferior weapons and poor marksmanship.

                Surely had you been there you would have dropped the bad guy with one shot from your .454 elephant gun.

                  I know a guy who dropped a scum on the run with a .38sp revolver at 100yds. He was a nam vet. This was an man who was in his late 50's early 60's. Tell me these cops are highly trained?

                    We may pay out the tail for it but most police qualification is 40 rounds or less a year. Not only that but most police officers that is the only time they shoot all year.

                    When my wife was an instructor she got so mad as most police wouldn't take a 5'4" blonde seriously and they shot horribly. It didn't matter her army training or that she could out shoot all of them.

                    Remember the FBI shootout in Miami. They couldn't get good shot placement and blamed the 9mm cartridge. Then came out with the FBI tests due to this. Then used 10mm, found out it destroys guns and too much recoil for smaller shooters to even qualify, so then they went to .40's.
