The only statement the Detective will need will be you saying you do not know the suspect and that you have never given the suspect permission to possess your stolen revolver. He most likely already has a copy of your original theft report and he has no say one way or another if you can get a CCW. He's a Detective not Monty Hall, no lets make a deal with him.
