    Guy standing guard with Uzi

Just read about this guy in the Stockton Record. Says he was standing guard wearing a trench coat and carrying a Uzi.

Do you think he should have been standing guard with an MP5?
Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

Depends on what he was guarding.

Wait, how do you get arrested under the suspicion of resisting arrest? It should be a yes/no question for the officers(and then the DA taking him to court over it, then a judge deciding if he actually was or not). That's either very poor writing, or something just doesn't add up.

If this were AZ, this damn thing wouldn't be such an issue.

That's what I was thinking. I'm assuming it's just spotty reporting; which we all know is very common.

If he was legally on his buddies property, legally carrying the firearms, telling the Officers "No" when they ask for your compliance to prone out is legal. If he wasn't there legally he was resisting arrest.

Its sorta like what happened in the SLO incident. The LEO yelled to the guy on his own property, behind a LOCKED gate to drop the rifle and lay down. He gave them a rolled eyes-crossed look and didn't do it. He started walking toward them to find out what was wrong. It was only after a second command and guns pointed at him did he comply. The Officers then jumped his fence, broke into his house, searched his house, opened his safe, arrested him for illegal firearms possession and resisting arrest. He was legally target shooting on his own land. He pleaded NC to resisting arrest as a misdemeanor IIRC. I think he did that just to make the case go away. He couldn't pay any more legal bills.
