I've been going there on and off and have never had an issue with the staff. Shoot, they let me shoot my 5.7 there, they can't be that bad...

LAX Range-What's The Deal???

[DISCLAIMER] I don't know UCLAPlinker or have any association with LAX [/DISCLAIMER]
I admit the staff at LAX is not the friendliest in the world, they do run a range in a not so great part of town without incidences. I used to frequent LAX all the time when I lived in the area. While I didn't like the staff, I NEVER worried about my safety at LAX because the staff would be all over someone for being unsafe. I can't say that about any other range I've been to. I have been swept, had pointed guns pointed at me, etc. That never happens at LAX because people don't want to get yelled at.
In regards to their prices, they aren't bad at all. A few years back I bought my first Glock off them for $350. The thing was in such good condition you could barely tell the difference between a new one and the one they sold me.
Long story short, would I go back, YES... I have shot next to wannabe gangbangers there and didn't have to worry about being shot by an AD because the staff was on everyone's a** about safety. If you don't like it, go elsewhere or join a private range like I did.Comment

The problem is that both of you are posting opinions. There is no right or wrong because of that.
Your opinion is that the staff there is not friendly (surly, etc.) and his opinion is that the staff is fine to him. You both can be 100% right.
But even at that, this post is basically useless because it may not apply to how the staff relates to anyone else who goes there.Frank

In the LA area I like the fact that I can go 30 minutes to LAX and shoot frangible 223, 308 etc. I do not go to LAX often, but I do not want to see that freedom go away. Sorry if the inter-personal stuff was off, but I view that as a small inconvenience for the ability to shoot rifles indoors and locally."Bruen, the Bruen opinion, I believe, discarded the intermediate scrutiny test that I also thought was not very useful; and has, instead, replaced it with a text history and tradition test." Stay out of there, believe me. Very limited parking, range bag inspections, somewhat high pricing, non friendly to most. Next to a porn shop and Arbys though! Handy! No gun sales either it seems except to LE..22short .22lr .22mag .25acp .32acp .32H&Rmag,.35rem .30carbine

Why do I feel like quoting the Fresh-a-pepper skit in this thread? I don't know.sigpic

I'd like to hear more on this....might give some sway as to whether you're firing from the hip as they and just out to stir the pot...or if you're onto something real.
And no, I aint been there; I personally hate LA and everytime I'm down there I know why & thank God I live in Norcal ((as I'm sure other here are glad I live up here too

2.)Why is it that if guns are sooooo unsafe that you're 9 times more likely to die at the hands of your doctor?
3.)Remember...Buy it cheap & stack it deep
