    M1A or another oll?

Say you have a couple 5.56mm and 7.62 rifles already. Do you go for the 308 or consolidate calibers. M1A or M1 from CMP? Basically I want to add something to the collection, got 2k to spend and definitely need a G26 somewhere in there.

Well if you already have a couple of OLLs then I would get an M1A. But then again, I think everyone should own an M1A!!

+1 on the M1a, I have narrowed my M14 format down to four and my OLL 5.56 to 10 plus three spare receivers. If I had to choose only one it would be my SEI Crazy Horse rifle built on a Polytech receiver in a JAE 100 stock. I really love this gun. I like it much better than my Springfield M25 or my PSG1.

I love my FN Rifle but then its an acquired taste and a spendy one at that.

The last one I bought I dropped 3K on.

Sure I could have bought 2 or 3 M1A's for the same amount but there will always be M1A's to purchase.

1970's FN Rifles are a little more hard to come by.

Definately an M1A, but which M1A? Scout, Socom, Socom II, Standard, "Loaded", National Match, Super Match......sorry I guess that doesn't help.

If you have AR's and don't have a M1A it's time to add one to the collection

M1A's are nice and fun to shoot. The question about type is a good one.

What are your other 7.62 rifles? You want this new one to be a range rifle or carry?

                        They're really not that special.

M1A Super Match with the wood stock.

That is what I am saving for at the moment while drooling over pictures of it on a daily basis.

I gave my wife the excuse of I wanted one to honor my uncle and his serving of our country. He always told me stories of how he loved his M14 in Vietnam and hated it when they took it for an M16.

                              It actually worked.
