Depends.

Some loaded mags are in the safe next to my gun, some in my BOB, some in my range bag, and some sitting out in the open on my work bench in my garage.

I rarely have any empty mags since I usually load them up to capacity in case I ever need to use them right away.

No room at the inn for mags! What is the world coming too. Get creative you'll be suprised what will fit in there. Just remember how it all goes in/out.

If I had every mag in the safe I wouldn’t be able to keep my guns in it . I just have way to magazines to keep locked in a safe.

No room, I can barely squeeze in the guns themselves! When I get my larger safe, I will probably keep the loaded mags in there.

I do not keep "loaded anything" in my safe. It's too easy to forget and make a
really bad mistake. If I was feeling under threat, the gun + loaded mags would be next to my bed....locked and loaded.

I do keep my unloaded mags in the safe just to keep all my shooting crap together.
