The Punisher's Colt 1911s

To the people who have seen this movie. The last one with Rebecca Romijn in it. Has anyone tried to recreate one of those Colts for your own personal collection? Also, what Colt model was used in the film? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not a Punisher fan, I just like the colt 1911s in the last movie.

Saw the movie once a while ago. From what I remember they were just standard 1911s (probably not even Colts at that) and from what I gathered they had muzzle brakes and were rechambered in .50GI. Those two features alone were the only main differences, outside of finish and what not, that made them any different than your standard 1911.

Seriously, read the Punisher Armory series, its prety much a 'Must have' list of firearms available in the early 90's

some of the stuff is a bitt off the wall, but most of it was researched rather well.

I have to admit the original Dolph Lundgren/Lou Gossett movie sucked....but it's all we had back in the day.
