hey calgunners this has probably been answered here already but too lazy to do the research. i obviously currently live in la, ca but i will probably be moving to washington state next year. i was wondering if anyone had a link or something with the gun laws for washington. or more specifically, would anyone know like what is banned. so far i only have a 10/22 and of course an ar15 in my arsenal. the ar has a bb but i would def wanna take that with me. any help would be awesome

Ask the guys on NorthwestFirearms.com. That's the CGN equivalent for OR and WA.

I'm on there as well. Same user name as I've traveled through there and had questions for those guys. Knowledgable guys. Some may have issues with a Californian moving to their state .

I just moved to the Seattle area, so if they have a problem with it, tough.

I hate it when people post things like that. I mountain bike too......and seeing that Washington is awesome for both of my hobbies, just makes me want to pull up stakes.

I'm originally from the Yakima Valley. WA is much better for guns than CA, although the Seattle voting block would like to change that.

Drifter001, just noticed your "introduction" on the NWFA site. I'm on the fast track to Oregon myself and just signed up an account on there as well.

I have a father in law in Washington, he just laughs when we tell him about CA laws. So I think you're going to enjoy the freedom up there. He kept asking over and over "and why don't you have a ccw permit"? Guess he couldn't understand the concept of a "maybe issue state".

In Washington you can't have MG's, SBR's or SBS's but you can have AOW's and silencers/suppressors.

They recently changed the law to actually allow you to USE silencers/suppressors in the state too. It used to be you could own them and buy them in WA, but you couldn't actually use one, so all my WA buddies would drive to Oregon for that.

But if you're talking about Title 1 firearms, pretty much anything goes. They even have the "gun show loophole" there

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

I live just north of Bremerton, in Silverdale. I really like it! The nearest shooting range is 6 miles away. Some part's of bremerton aren't the nicest, especially by the port and shipyards. Just old and run down. But overall, kitsap county is a really nice place to live. If your outdoorsy, WA. and the Seattle area is the place to be.
