    Attitude Adjustment!

I could use a good attitude adjustment right now. My 10 day wait for my new AK just turned into 12 days.+

I showed up at the gun shop about a half hour ago with great anticipation of picking up my Ak only to find it closed. It's bumming me out bad for a few reasons.

The first being I dont have my rifle. The second being that ten days ago @ 2:45p.m. when I dros'ed it, I was told that they would be open until 3:30 today. As a matter of fact they called me as soon as the Fed-Ex truck delivered it so I could get there in time to start the paper work for a 12/24 pick-up.

And thirdly, I understand the guy didn't make a killing on me with a lousy transfer fee, but a courtesy call would have been nice if keeping the shop open wasn't financially viable. It would have saved me a nearly 20 mile round trip and the oh so disappointed feeling I have right now. Not withstanding all the other things that went out the window today because the rifle was the priority.

Oh well, you all have a Merry Christmas,

I got to get out of this funk Im in. I'm not feeling very festive. I think I'll grab my Bennelli and see if I can't make things a little interesting for Santa tonight when he tries to land that rig of his on my roof.

Sucks that he said he would be open and then not be open. He might of forgotten it was Christmas Eve when he told you. I could not hold much ill will against him. I would never expect a gun store to be open today.

Just got an 870 from Turner's my pick up day is the 1st - the guy told me I could come in after 6pm on the 1st - I asked him who was going to be there new years day - he just laughed and said "the second".

I imagine it happens - you just get used to adding 10 days to the purchase date and don't think "oh yeah, that's a holiday"

Yeah Bill, I was thinking just that on the way home. How all this would have been moot. I probably already would of had a few hundred rounds down range by now if it wasnt for the 10 day wait.

I cant wait for Monday LOL! Got me 2k rounds of ammo, three 10/30 mags, and a new sling waiting for her.

Imagine that, a store closed on Christmas Eve day!!

Hey I wouldn't have expected it either if the guy hadn't gone through such pains to dros me quickly so it could be picked up in time. This wasnt an oversight, it was understood. Like I said, a call would have been great when the plan was changed.

No, you should be living in Arizona where there is no 10 day wait, DROS, PPT or other assorted California gun control Bull schitt.

Want to see me make it worse?
I bought a rifle on 12/23 at Big 5 about 2 miles from my home. It was an impulse buy. The phone for the background check was busy and kept redialing. It took almost 35 minutes for them to finally answer. Once they answered it was about 10 more minutes until I walked out the door with my rifle in my hands.

                      There--did that help?

Now, to tell the truth ... I commiserate with you and don't know how you can put up with the crap you're buried in.

Congrats on the new AK and enjoy it once you have it in your possession.

People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.
