    THE DOOR EXPLODED!!! Gunvault Advertisement

Saw this advertisement in the latest issue of American Rifleman. Am I the only one that calls bull**** on that testimonial? Doubtful that a "responsible" gun owner would open up on a smashed down door without even taking a moment to identify and acquire his target. Sounds like some ridiculous crap they just made up, especially considering it apparently went down in CA. I didn't hear about this in the news, and something like this in CA would most definitely be on the news.

If it's legit, where you at, J. of San Bernardino, CA?

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

Probably wouldn't be considered newsworthy in San Bernardino. LOL

That could have been anytime from a few months ago to a couple years. Its not possible to read every news paper in California seven days a week and watch every news channel. Stuff happens all the time that doesn't make it past 200 miles of news. Otherwise we would be watching 25 hours of news a day.

There was a shooting not far from my old house years ago. Guy killed his wife in a methed out rage. Never even made the paper. So sad. Glad I moved.

Reasonable to presume, that if someone has the anger/ability/willingness to smash in your door, you are in grave danger of bodily harm or death. Shooting is justified.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."......Cicero

What concerned me was the "hail of gunfire". Makes it sound like the dude just unloaded like a maniac.

                          It also said ".45"

Combining "hail of gunfire" and "my .45" I imagine it probably went down something like this:

Although, I can't for the life of me figure out how he got a thompson in a gunvault.

My uncle shot a guy through his solid oak front door with a 20ga duck load while the perp was trying to kick it down. This was probably 20 years ago and in Texas. Guy was strung out on amphetamines and a multiple time felon. Try kicking down doors in parts of the country and the person on the other side isn't going to wait for you to make it all the way through.
