The video was never released because he recorded over half of it with a poker game we were having at his house. Dumbass jarhead.

That's your truck in the background of the pics right? couldn't recognize it with air in all of the tires.

When are you closing your contest on lower markings? I want my gift certificate

When I saw the pics one of my first thoughts was "hey I know that truck".
BTW I tried to paste that pic here and it just wouldn't work.
                    How does one do that?

                            really confused now

I watched the M1 Garand video that I think was presented as an explanation of bump fire. I have been familiar with the term for awhile but apparently had the wrong definition. If the video is a representation of what bumpfire really is.

I had always been told bumpfire is when you do something like load a single round into an M1A/M14 without a magazine. You know just place the round in the receiver and let the bolt fly home. The bumpfire is caused by the momentum of the bolt closing without the friction from a mag to slow it down. The firing pin goes forward more than usual and strikes the primer firing off the round (hence the bump.) This is especially likely to happen with some civilian ammo with lighter metal primers and our primers not to spec (sticking out)

So is the video that was presented in response to the question what is a bumpfire correct?
Is my scenario a bump fire
Am I dazed and confused? If so would you be so kind and please call a doctor.

Oh and why in the world would anyone risk their limbs by purposefully firing a weapon under water? Seems like one of those might not hurt you 100 times but the 101st time you do it you lose a portion of your hand type things.

I'd consider a round detonated by a bolt slamming on it in that manner a "slamfire".

No, Like Andy said, you probably have bumpfiring confused with slamfire.

You have to meet the guy.
